Tamar Braxton responds to allegations she attacked ex-boyfriend David Adefeso

 d_701891m_97c_1x_246458 Tamar Braxton recently sat down with Tamron Hall, where she denied physically attacking her ex-boyfriend, David Adefeso.   Adefeso had accused her of being violent towards him but Tamar says this isn't true.   "I am a survivor a domestic violence relationship," she says in the clip. "And not at any point [were] David and I in an abusive relationship."   "I voice-recorded it, he video-taped it," she says. "He has a camera in his car."   Braxton added in tears: "No, let me tell you something, I loved David. He was my best friend. He was an amazing, amazing partner. He was my son's best friend as well, they were best friends. And it's just so hard because through everything else, I never expected this from him. Now, I have to be real with myself, is he acting like this because he found me the way that he found me? Probably, I don't know."   Watch the video below.    

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala emerges Director General, World Trade Organization

  The former Minister of Finance in Nigeria, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has emerged as the new Director General of the World Trade Organization. She is the first female and first African Director-General of the WTO.   In a keenly contested election, Okonjo-Iweala beat her rival, South Korean Yoo Myung hee, with a wide margin. She polled 104 votes from 164 member countries to defeat Myung Hee at the final stage of the race.   Okonjo-Iweala received widespread support from Africa and other continents before the election which took place today October 28.   Her victory comes days after European Union member nations backed her candidacy against Ms. Myung hee, who was supported by the United States.   The official announcement is expected to be made by the WTO at 3pm Nigerian time today.   Okonjo-Iweala, 66, served as Nigeria’s first female Finance and later Foreign Affair minister, and has a 25-year career behind her as a development economist and international finance expert at the World Bank,

  Pop Queen, Madonna, 62, and her 26-year-old boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams, 26 teamed up for steamy photoshoot.    In one of the photos shared to her Instagram page, the singer was seen pushed up against a fence while being kissed by her younger lover.  She wrote in her caption: "Love what you do and do what you love."   Madonna and Ahlamalik Williams have been working together since at least 2015, when he performed as a dancer during the singer's Rebel Heart tour.   The pair confirmed their relationship in December 2019 when they were pictured getting cozy on a hotel balcony in Miami.    See more photos below.     

Bandits kill 20 persons in fresh attack in Zamfara

  At least 20 people were killed by armed bandits in Tungar Kwana village in Talata Mafara local government area of Zamfara State on Tuesday night, October 20.   According to residents who spoke to Premium Times, the gunmen stormed the community around 11pm on motorcycles after blocking the community’s entry and exit points and began to shoot people. Many houses were also burnt during the attack that lasted for several hours.   “It was a well planned and coordinated attack; they also stole many livestock and escaped to the forest,” a resident told the pubilcation. The resident alleged that the attack was in retaliation for the massive ongoing onslaught by Nigerian security forces against the armed bandits in their forest enclave.   The Emir of Talata Mafara, Bello Muhammed, led the funeral prayer for the victims on Wednesday morning, October 21.     Spokesperson for the State Police Command, Mohammed Shehu, who confirmed the incident said that 20 people were killed by bandits who see t

  Actress Ada Ameh has made a passionate appeal to President Buhari and Governor Sanwo-Olu to make it possible for her to fly Abuja to bury her daughter. The actress lost her daughter, Godgifts, on October 20 after surgery in Abuja. In an emotional video she shared on her Instagram page this morning, Ada Ameh said she is yet to go and bury her child because of the chaos in the country. She appealed to the government to take the soldiers off the streets so she can secure a flight to Abuja to bury her child in peace.   Watch the video below

  Sonia Ighalo, the wife of Nigerian International footballer, Odion Ighalo, has dismissed claims that their home was attacked by hoodlums.   There were reports online on Wednesday, October 21, claiming that Ighalo's house had been attacked by hoodlums during the chaos that engulfed the state.   Sonia via her Instastories, stated that the report is false. Nigerians react as former militant leader, Tompolo comes out of hiding after 6-years

  Former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo is currently trending on Twitter after coming out of hiding.  Tompolo, who led the disbanded Movement for Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND), went into hiding after President Muhammadu Buhari was sworn-in in 2015.  In 2016, the government declared him wanted for ignoring two bench warrants issued against him by the  Federal High Court in Lagos, where he was charged with N45.9bn fraud.  Three years later, the court dismissed all the charges against Global West Vessel Specialist Limited, a company linked to the former Niger Delta militant leader. Despite the court decision to drop the charges, Tompolo still remained in hiding until October 19, 2020, when he made an appearance at the Egbesu Shrine in his Oporoza country home in Gbaramatu, Delta State. Yomi Casual's store vandalized and looted by hoodlums (video)

  More businesses have been affected as hoodlums take to the streets of Lagos destroying properties and looting.   Yomi Makun, the fashion designer who owns Yomi Casuals, has been affected by the lootings. His clothing store in Surulere was attacked and looted.   A video from the scene shows broken glasses and broken mannequin on the floor. The clothes on the mannequin had been stolen.   Yomi shared the video and revealed that he woke up thinking it's now too late to educate hoodlums that this fight is for us, not against each other.     Watch the video below.

  Photo of a Ugandan gospel singer, Julie Mutesasira's wedding to a fellow woman has gone viral on social media days after her ex-husband, Pastor Steven Mutesasira remarried.   The news is the current topic of conversation among Ugandas on social media.     It was gathered that Julie Mutesasira and Pastor Mutesasira were married for many years and they have three children together including Esther and Ezekiel (the 2019 winners of the first season of East Africa’s Got Talent).   Their marriage ended in a bitter divorce. After they officially getting divorced in 2016. No Nigerian can find a reason to why the President has remained silent on Lekki toll gate shooting - Bishop Kukah

  The Bishop of the Catholic diocese of Sokoto, Mathew Kukah has also joined other Nigerians in expressing concern with President Buhari's continous silence over the Lekki Toll Gate shooting.    The cleric who featured in a Channels Television programme on Wednesday October 21, stated that Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo's apology over the shooting was to compensate for the president’ silence.   Kukah averred that there is no reason for the President's continous silence as he pointed out that youths are risking their lives to fight for their rights. He added that the only way out is for the President to “let them know someone feels their pain.”   He said;    “I really cannot understand this. I feel totally helpless in the sense that I cannot find any reason and I don’t think any Nigerian in the right frame of mind can find a reason to why the president has remained so silent on this crisis."

  The Canadian government has expressed concern over the "excessive use of force" in ongoing protests in Nigeria.    The Canadian government also stated that those responsible for human right violations and abuse in Nigeria must be held accountable.   A tweet shared on Canada's Foreign Policy Twitter handle read;    Canada is deeply concerned about the excessive use of force during the ongoing protests in #Nigeria. Those responsible for #HumanRights violations and abuse must be held accountable.  

Former militant leader, Tompolo makes first public appearance in 4 years after being declared wanted by security agencies

  Former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo has made his first public appearance in 4 years after being declared wanted by security agencies.    The former Militant leader had gone into hiding in 2015 after the Federal Government deployed troops to arrest him shortly after Muhammadu Buhari was sworn in as Nigeria's President in 2015.    Recall also that Tompolo was declared wanted in 2016 following two bench warrants issued against him by a Federal High Court in Lagos, where he was charged with N45.9bn fraud.    Speaking in a court after the declaration was made, the anti-graft agency told a federal judge that the whereabouts of the former militant leader was unknown. The EFCC further disclosed that all the security agencies can't find him.    Minister of state for Labour, Festus Keyamo who was a counsel to the EFCC at that time said;    “We wish to inform the court that the warrant of arrest that this court issued in respect of the first defendant

  Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, has reacted to the unfortunate incident that happened at the Lekki tollgate on Tuesday, October 20 where peaceful end SARS protesters were fired at by security operatives.   In a post shared on his social media handles, the Vice President said his heart goes out to all the victims of the incident as well as the policemen and others who have lost their lives in the past few days in Lagos and other parts of the nation.   His post reads ''My heart goes out to all the victims of the Lekki shootings, and also the policemen and all other men and women who lost their lives in the past few days in different parts of Lagos & other states. Two Nigerian men dismiss report they were killed in Lekki gunfire incident (Video)

  Two Nigerian men have come out to dismiss online reports they were killed in the gunfire incident at the Lekki tollgate on Tuesday night, October 20.   Some Twitter users shared their photos on social media space with claims they were killed during the gunfire.   The two men made different videos debunking the report. According to one of them, he was in his house sleeping when the attack happened. The young man in the NYSC outfit said it was from a movie he featured in not too long ago.   Watch the videos below
